Just three days old and she couldn’t have been more content, cooperative or yummy! I’ve been dreaming of these outdoor shots and Hayden was the perfect fit. When her Momma and Daddy came for their maternity shoot I started talking about my vision for their newborn shoot and they were stoked and willing to try anything. They trusted my art and just let me do my thing…my favorite!  

The first shot is my favorite from their maternity shoot which leads me to a topic I’ve been wanting to approach on the blog…I do a ton of maternity and ‘hottie’ shoots, but have thus far been apprehensive about blogging these shoots. With client approval of course I’d like to blog some of it, but wanted to see what my blog readers think about posting semi-nudes on the blog. This little sugar was a dream to photograph…meet Isabel. Tiny, delicate, sweet and very peaceful. Once we settled in and her tank was full she was up for anything. The bright sunshine didn’t wake her, she was comforted by its warmth and cozy in the bowl on the rocks. If she woke up or got startled it just took a quiet minute with her Momma or Daddy to put her right back to sleep. Speaking of them, they are naturals with her and are in love beyond what they could have ever imagined and it shows. Thank you for trusting me with Izy’s first shoot. Enjoy!

at my house with my nieces usually consists of photo shoots, cooking good food, watching movies and chatting up the latest teen drama. It is my hope that these nights will hold a special place in the memory of these sweet girls like girls night with my auntie Dee Dee does for me. Each one of my nieces and nephews are a treasure to me and I hope I am able to making a small difference as they carve their way through life. It’s my absolute favorite thing to combine beautiful people with old, rusty, dirty settings to create a combination like no other. The shoot was in an incredible old building filled with amazing equipment, texture, grime, fire, rust, steam and all the elements a girl like me could ask for in a location! This one ranks in my top three for sure and fueled my creative soul!

Galilee contacted me nearly a year ago to do a maternity shoot for a friend of hers and we’ve been working together ever since. She is partnering with her sister’s Natalie and Laurelie to open Charlotte Rouge, the chic hair spa, in the coming months. The number one priority at the spa is to give women the haircut they have always wanted. I can assure you she means it when she says this – she has been cutting my hair for about 4 months now and she is a perfectionist like I’ve never had in a stylist. She knows if you are satisfied and even if you are and she’s not, she will work to make the cut and color perfect. She is infectious and from the minute you meet her you feel like you’ve known her for years. Her sisters are no exception, they are sweet, spunky and down for anything! 

I am designing the logo, brochures, website and advertising materials for the salon and have had an absolute blast working with Galilee and the girls!

Little Lily was a little rock star during her shoot – she didn’t want to miss anything so she wouldn’t sleep no matter what we tried. Her mama had a vision for Lillian to be surrounded by lily’s so she ordered flowers for the shoot and they weren’t the right ones so she gave up on the concept. When she arrived and told me what happened she was thrilled to hear I had star gazers from my sweet hubby on my counter. We patiently waited for little Lily to close her eyes and after three wide awake hours she finally conceded and closed her eyes for the shot of the day. Adorable!

Ian and Lindsay are special to me so I couldn’t resist when Lindsay asked me to shoot their intimate wedding. This is my fourth shoot for these two and each has been even more special than the last.  They are so easy going and fun to work with. Lindsay always hopes for lots of kissy shots and Ian always shyly obliges. They are down for anything and are completely at ease in front of the camera – my dream clients!
