After countless hours of creating the new site it is finally done and going through the final stages of going live. I’m hoping to see the live version by tomorrow. LifeSTYLE portraits will be at www.exposures-studio.com there are nearly 300 new images on the site!! The Body as Art site contains the maternity, body art and boudoir work. This body as art site is still a work in progress, but the main site is new and fully loaded!

We had an incredible LIVE shoot tonight at the Women’s Affair and I’m so excited to see the images and to be able to share them next week. So, check back here and watch for the new live versions of the websites.

A note about the sites – you’ll know you’ve made it to the main new site when you see four options of where to go on the opening splash page.

Come see me at the Carlson Center – the booth is awesome and full of tons of awesome images for you to enjoy.

Cheers!

So it’s been a while and you may be wondering what in the world I’ve been up to. Well…lots of soul searching, re-designing, re-structuring, shooting and growing a new little baby! Yep, we are having another baby in November and thinking about all the wonderful changes that come with a new addition has got me really digging to be sure I’m doing what feels right and feels like ME in my business. Hopefully by tomorrow my new site design will launch as well as my new body as art addition. Also, I’m finally on facebook so be prepared for some new facebook goodness. Hop on over to become a fan.

More big news…I’ll be doing a LIVE Vintage Styled Boudoir Shoot at the Women’s Affair at the Carlson Center, tomorrow, Friday, April 9th at 7:30 p.m. I have an incredible set and a beautiful model lined up. Hair and Make-up design will be done for the audience starting at 7:30 by the gals at Charlotte Rouge Hair Spa. I will be at the show all weekend with new art on display and a portfolio and slideshows full of new images for your viewing pleasure.

Sorry no images for this post – you’ll have to visit the new LifeSTYLE website and the new Body as ART website for new images. Or come see me at the show this weekend. I’m hoping to be live with the new sites super soon! Regular blog posts will be coming next week.

My Christmas week got away from me and I will be announcing and notifying the Giving is Awesome winner on the 26th. Stay tuned!  Thanks for your patience.  Merry Christmas!

You know when you meet a family and you just feel like you’ve known them forever – that’s how we felt from the day we met these guys. We bought land from them in Cantwell and after a little back and forth on price we got the deal sealed by throwing in a photo shoot! They are a young, fun, down to earth, Alaskan family who feel genuine to the core. They have a great life in Cantwell – they live in a beautiful cabin on the river, they hunt, grow their veggies, bake their bread, enjoy the land and teach the kids how to appreciate the little things. He’s a pilot and owns a guide business. After working super hard in the summer and fall they head for warmer weather in the winter. We admire the simplicity of their life and feel we could all use a lesson in getting back to the basics and appreciating the little blessings life has to offer.

The kids were a little cranky about being cold so the shoot wasn’t quite the vision they had in mind, but as a result there are a TON of awesome images. Enjoy the teaser!

The trailing lights on the posts first caught my eye and my concept was born…the architecture, natural light, the rustic feel of the space, the beautiful model and old metal trunks brought the concept full circle. The old trunks were given to my best friend by her uncle. The trunks traveled all over the world and each sticker represents a unique destination full of memories and stories that will likely remain untold by the quiet solider who carried them.

…that’s why the Manke’s visit Creamer’s Field. The first photo will be hung in the Manke’s new home in South Dakoka as a great memory piece for the time they spent in Fairbanks. Jake LOVED to come see the geese at Creamer’s so it made perfect sense to shoot their family photos there. Thanks for a great shoot guys, I wish you well on your journey!

I’m new to the blogging world so forgive me while I get my bearings…

I’m excited to show you a little glimpse of my world…my photography, my little girl, a glimpse of life as I know it.

I will be posting client sneak peeks, studio specials, fun tidbits and beautiful images.  I hope you enjoy getting a little glimpse of my world and that you visit frequently.

The photos below are from a fun fall shoot with my daughter, Lael and her buddies, Dustin and Tanner.  We were on a mission to catch the kids and the beautiful fall colors.  They had a blast running, playing in the grass, throwing leaves and exploring the tunnel and bridges.

The gallery is a little wild to view at first, but it’s pretty fun once you get the hang of it.  Play around with the tilt by moving your mouse around. To see an image closer click the image and it will zoom in.  You can then tilt the zoomed image.  I think it’s fun!  Enjoy.
